Potentially, but you've got to bear in mind you have a higher than average potential for an explosive estrangement with CHIRON conjunct KARMA.
In lasting relationships, I've noticed a sort of pattern; almost as if the two are, indeed, karmically-bound, and unconsciously seeking a way to 'prevent' the likely outcome. And, if this has been going on for years -- congratulations. You cleared the threat zone. But this may help you better understand why these periods happen.
Do you know much of seismology? Here in Los Angeles, we're grateful for scads of smaller magnitude quakes because it relieves pressure of one of greater magnitude which can do serious damage. The reverse, ironically, seems to be operating here in these Chirotic relationships. Periodic breaks are taken (which don't dissolve the relationship in any formal capacity -- no 'breakups' per se) that 'relieve the pressure' of the CHIRON conjunction. Rather than allowing the tension to build to the point of eventual explosion, it never reaches critical levels and remains manageable.
Now, bear in mind this is all theory; it's just what I've seen operating in the charts I've reviewed. Seems quite binary. It follows this pattern if it clears the threat zone. Otherwise, it breaks apart. And once a formal commitment has been made (usually marriage) CHIRON settles down and the Sword of Damocles hangs over the relationship no longer.
In specific, you have a KARMA aspect -- the aforementioned conjunction to CHIRON. This is a tad tricky, considering the cCHIRON is conjunct cLUST-cVENUS. One of those that can be glorious with proper emotional maturity, and disastrous without it.
But let's instead take cKARMA-cAPHRODITE into consideration. All that's hitting it seriously is tMERC, but it HAS gone through a retrograde period, and may be 'kicking up some dust'; most of all -- sweeping things out from under the carpet. These things might have to do with APHRODITE, so I'd research that more thoroughly: some keywords tend to be infatuation, attraction, and 'fated attraction'.
Just a cursory look.
